ST. GEORGE, Utah — In the next installment of its Pizza and Politics series, the Dixie State University Institute of Politics & Public Affairs will host a legislative roundup featuring all six state legislators who represent Washington County.

Moderated by Vince Brown, the institute’s director, the discussion will cover some of the 503 bills that were passed and some that did not during the Utah State Legislature’s 2021 general session. The roundup is set to take place at noon on April 15 in the Gardner Ballroom on the Dixie State campus as well as streamed live.

Legislators slated to participate in the discussion include Rep. Travis Seegmiller (District 62), Rep. Brad Last (District 71), Rep. V. Lowry Snow (District 74), Rep. Walt Brooks (District 75), Sen. Evan Vickers (District 28) and Sen. Don Ipson (District 29).

“Every session of the state legislature is interesting, but this last session was of particular importance to Dixie State University and our Southern Utah community,” Brown said. “I am thrilled that our legislative representatives have agreed to speak with our students, faculty, staff and community to explain the legislative work they did this last session. It shows that they care about answering the concerns and addressing the priorities of the voters of Southern Utah."

Pizza will be provided to those who attend in-person. For more information about Dixie State University Institute of Politics & Public Affairs’ legislative roundup or to tune into the livestream, visit the Institute's Facebook page at facebook.com/dsupolitics.
