One more person has died from COVID-19 in Utah, and nearly 200 more cases of the disease were reported on Saturday by health officials.

Utah now has 1,429 cases of the disease out of 28,043 people tested, according to the Utah Department of Health. Of those cases, 117 people have required hospitalization.

The eighth COVID-19 death in Utah occurred Thursday and was identified only as a woman 85 or older who lived in Salt Lake County, said Charla Haley, department spokeswoman. The woman contracted the virus in a Salt Lake City nursing facility. The name of the facility has not been released.

The woman had been hospitalized with COVID-19 since March 27.
