Emergency Closure of Defiance House Archeological Site

Due to hazardous conditions, foot traffic to the Defiance House archaeological site is temporarily closed.

Current lake levels and unstable grounds have resulted in hiking routes being unsafe to access the site.

The site is located uplake of the Halls Crossing Marina.

The site is closed to visitation until further notice.
