Some Utah parents are expressing disappointment over the governor's order to make face masks mandatory when schools go back into session this fall.

A petition that supports making face masks a choice rather than a mandate has nearly four-thousand signatures after being posted on MoveOn.org.

Britney Lindsey started the petition because she feels the governor's order is unjust and unfair.

She plans to send the signatures she gathers to the governor prior to the start of the school year Lindsey doesn't dispute the need for precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19, but objects to being forced to make her kids wear masks.
