The family of a Utah State University student who allegedly killed herself because she was being bullied is suing the school.

Twenty-four-year-old Jerusha Sanjeevi from Malaysia was a P-H-D candidate who died in 2017.

The lawsuit claims Sanjeevi was jeered at by other students for having darker skin, smelling like Indian food and having a weird name.

The suit also says that two students in particular were the ringleaders.

The lawsuit names them and several U-S-U faculty members, who are accused of refusing to respond to Sanjeevi's complaints.
