Five students from Richfield High School are recovering from serious injuries after an SUV drove off a cliff and rolled down an embankment.

The crash happened yesterday afternoon on a dirt road west of I-70.

Witnesses told Utah Highway Patrol the driver was going between 50 and 60 miles-per-hour when he lost control of his Jeep and went off the roadway.

Four students were flown to a Salt Lake City hospital in critical condition.

Police say only two of them were wearing seat belts.
