Governor Herbert says he may still make masks mandatory
Governor Herbert says he may still implement a statewide face mask order if Utahn's refuse to wear masks voluntarily.
The governor said yesterday that he has been encouraged by recent data that shows the number of new COVID-19 cases declining.
But he also realizes that some Utahns refuse to wear any type of face covering despite numerous pleas from state health officials.
Yesterday, the governor approved a request by the city of Logan that requires face coverings in public.
The governor says he continues to be surprised at the way some people have resisted wearing masks.
