Hogle Zoo closes due to outbreak

The Hogle Zoo is the latest Salt Lake City attraction to close its doors due to the coronavirus. 

The zoo announced yesterday that it will be closed until further notice. 

In a statement, zoo officials said their highest priority is the safety of the animals, the community and the zoo's staff. 

Staff members will continue to provide daily care for the animals, though schedules will be adjusted to allow social distancing to be practiced.
