An Idaho man is dead following a crash Saturday involving a powered parachute in Emery County.

Sheriff's deputies say 68-year-old Rodney Pridmore was with a group that flew out from Huntington Airport.

Pridmore then radioed to his group that he was having problems and he would try to land.

The victim died on impact when he crashed in the San Rafael Swell.

Investigators believe there may have been an issue with the rope and pulley steering system on the aircraft.
