When Utahns Try Something New They Might See Beautiful Sights
Take the Chance
Sometimes the universe gives you a nudge. Other times it gives you a full‑blown shove, like a Utah mom telling you to “just try a bite” of something you’re pretty sure is Jell‑O adjacent. Either way, life has a funny habit of rewarding the brave.
Plan to Follow No Plan Once in a While
Utahns are planners by nature. We pack snacks for a ten‑minute drive. We check the weather for a walk around the block. We rehearse our Maverik order before we get to the counter. So, when an unexpected adventure pops up—say, a trip to a place you weren’t sure about, a city you couldn’t quite picture, or a plan that felt a little too spontaneous—it’s easy to hesitate.

But here’s the secret: magic rarely shows up on a color‑coded itinerary.
Sometimes you have to take the risk, book the ticket, and trust that the world has more charm tucked away than you imagined. Even places you worried might feel unfamiliar can surprise you with warmth, character, and a kind of unexpected delight that reminds you you’re still capable of wonder.

"We have two media passes to Disney's new California Adventure", that is how our trip started out as Dave and I traversed Southern Nevada and California with just a hope that our bosses' tickets would work for us. We arrived; the park honored the passes and memories of a new Disney park were made. This adventure never would have happened if we didn't take the risk and go to the opening of California Adventure to see what would happen.
So go ahead. Take the chance. Let adventure find you. The world is bigger, kinder, and more charming than your comfort zone ever lets on.
