Historic Iron Springs Resort Hosts Live Music
It’s summer which means it’s music festival time. Coachella and Stagecoach have kicked off the summer music season and the Iron Springs Resort in Cedar City is getting ready to kick off its summer music season as well.
A summer of music starts June 10th at the Iron Springs Resort. If you’re not familiar with Iron Springs Resort, I investigated the history on the Iron Springs Resort website and it’s fascinating.
The area where the Iron Springs Resort is located was once used as hunting and gathering grounds for Native Americans, the historic Spanish Trail passes nearby, and the pioneers began iron mining.
The Iron Springs Lodge and surrounding buildings that are used in the resort were formerly iron mine offices and facilities.
A summer of music kicks off on June 10 with the Sonrise Worship Festival. June 23rd cover band Badwater plays at the resort, June 30th country and classic rock band Muddy Boots and one-man band Tom Bennett perform, and July 24th the Coverdogs perform. Performances are at both the amphitheater and the RV park.
The Iron Springs Resort is located at 3196 North Iron Springs Road, you can find out more at the Iron Springs Resort website linked here.
