Utah lawmakers are apparently determined to hold a special session of the legislature before the end of the year to approve a tax reform package.

UtahPolicy.com says the lawmakers pushing the tax reform bill will work over the next few weeks to get the support of their colleagues.

Once that's in place, Republican lawmakers plan to ask the governor to call a special session of the legislature, most likely on December 12th.

The tax reform plan calls for an income tax cut, new sales taxes on some services and an increase in the tax Utahns pay for buying food.
