Local man arrested for sexually assaulting 8 year old girl

A man was arrested in the St. George area after discovering a video depicting the sexual assault of an 8 year old girl.

The incident began on Sunday when officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on East Tabernacle on a report of a sex offense.

A tenant at the complex reportedly looked through the suspects cell phone and discovered the video.

The evidence including a photo and video was turned over to police.

The video showed the 8 year old being sexually assaulted while asleep at the time.

After responding to the apartment and a foot chase by police the suspect, 23 year old Juandedios Flores was apprehended and arrested on St. George Blvd.
