New rules for Salt Lake County

Certain businesses in Salt Lake County will not be open today as even stricter COVID-19 regulations take effect in the county. 

The Salt Lake Health Department and Mayor Jenny Wilson issued the new rules yesterday.Among businesses that will be closed are hair and nail salons, barber shops, spas, tattoo and piercing shops, gyms, museums, aquariums and zoos. 

The order also warns people to maintain social distancing at the businesses that remain open.  The order will remain in effect until April 13th. Jenny Wilson says there is only so much Salt Lake County can do to try to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
