Stewart Celebrates Thousands of Defense Jobs Coming to Utah
Today, Rep. Chris Stewart (UT-02) celebrated the groundbreaking of Northrop Grumman’s new facility today, near Hill Air Force Base, to serve as future headquarters for its workforce and nationwide team supporting the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.
This new facility has the opportunity to add 2,500 jobs in the state of Utah.
Rep. Chris Stewart joined Kathy Warden, Northrop Grumman Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President, Sen. Mike Lee (UT-R), Sen. Mitt Romney (UT-R), Rep. Rob Bishop (UT-01), and other local community leaders to break ground on the facility and demonstrate the company’s commitment to supporting the U.S. Air Force’s strategic deterrence mission.

Northrop Grumman is currently the largest security and defense company in Utah with more than 5,100 employees across the state, primarily located in Bacchus, Clearfield, Ogden, Promontory and Salt Lake.
The new facility is scheduled to be completed by mid-2020.
