The state of Utah is working to bring home state residents stuck on a California cruise ship affected by coronavirus.

Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox says the state plans to fly any Utahns aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship home so they can self-isolate while waiting out a mandatory two-week quarantine.

Cox says that the offer to fly home will be given only to passengers who may have been exposed but are showing no symptoms of the virus.

The passengers would limit their exposure to the public by taking a chartered plane back to Utah, then boarding a chartered bus that would take them home.
