The state of Utah is forming a task force to help workers and businesses affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Governor Herbert announced the formation of the task force yesterday. 

Herbert named Salt Lake Chamber President Derek Miller as chair of the task force. 

During the announcement, Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall said she would ask the city council for one-million dollars to help businesses affected by the pandemic.

Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall tried to pass on a message of hope to city business owners and residents impacted by the pandemic.
