Utah has 402 confirmed cases of coronavirus, state health officials announced Thursday. This number reflects 388 Utah residents and 14 out-of-state visitors who have tested positive for the new virus. So far, the state has reported one Covid-19 related death.

As of Thursday, March 26, a total of 7710 * people have been tested for Covid-19 by public labs in the state. The state announced on Tuesday it had increased its testing capacity to about 2,600 people a day.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Angela Dunn announced the state has set up a donation process for personal protective equipment.

“It is important to know that we’re not in need or accepting handmade items at this point. We really need surgical grade gowns, gloves, face shields, N95 masks and surgical masks.”
