The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office has filed several charges against the suspect accused of killing a couple in their West Jordan home last month.

According to court documents, 31-year-old Albert Johnson robbed Tony and Katherine Butterfield when he kicked in the door of their home while wearing a mask and holding a gun.

Johnson took two cell phones and 20 dollars, but as he was leaving he realized he left his keys in the Butterfields' home.

Investigators say Johnson returned inside and was no longer wearing a mask.

Tony then attacked the suspect with a knife to prevent him from coming back in, but both he and Katherine were shot and killed.
