Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints changing policy on guns at church

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is changing its policy involving guns on church properties.

In an update to guidelines sent out to local leaders, firearms are now prohibited from all LDS meetinghouses.

Before now, guns were labeled as "inappropriate."

Under then new guidelines, law enforcement officers are still allowed to have guns on church property.
