On Monday, August 17, the Utah Department of Health is reporting 242 additional cases of COVID-19 in the state, and two new deaths

The stated noted: This is a net increase of one death since yesterday, however, two new deaths are being reported and one prior death is being removed from the totals for further investigation.

Utah’s total positive cases of the virus are 46,894 since the beginning of the pandemic. The state’s death toll due to the virus remains 364.

The rolling 7-day average for positive tests is 354 per day. The rolling 7-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 9.6%

The state health department reported 601,795 Utahns have been tested for the virus. An increase of 3,268 people tested since yesterday.
