Criminal charges filed against West Jordan murder suspects wife
Prosecutors have filed criminal charges against the wife of a man accused of breaking into a West Jordan couple's home and killing them.
Twenty-nine-year-old Sina Johnson has been charged with obstruction of justice.
Salt Lake County Attorney Sim Gill says Sina Johnson threw away her husband's bloody shoes and clothes after she discovered he had been involved in the murders and cleaned her apartment after seeing blood on the hallway walls and stairs.
Court records indicate that she told investigators that her husband, Albert Johnson, had attempted to get a job with the company Tony and Katherine Butterfield worked for prior to the shooting.
Albert Johnson could be formally charged in the deaths today or early next week.
Gill says Sina Johnson hampered the investigation and delayed the capture of her husband with her actions.
