Governor Herbert's order to postpone or cancel all non-essential surgery is affecting both people and their pets. 

The Utah Humane Society has been forced to stop all routine procedures at its community clinic in West Murray. 

Dr. Timna Fishbein says emergency cases will still be accepted, but services like spaying and neutering and microchipping won't be done until the current emergency ends.
