I-15 Virgin River bridge work begins today

Construction is set to begin today on I-15 in the Virgin River Gorge as the Arizona Department of Transportation begins work on three bridges.

ADOT is advising drivers to expect major delays through the road construction area.

To avoid the construction, motorists are being asked to take Old Highway 91 through Santa Clara and up over Utah Hill.

Sgt Bottoms with the Arizona Highway Patrol told KDXU this morning the construction is scheduled to begin at about 7am Arizona time this morning.
