Intermountain Healthcare is extending their COVID-19 testing services to the homeless population.

Senior vice president Mikelle Moore says the virus is making life harder for those experiencing homelessness and explained they're taking steps to provide resources, testing and comfort for the vulnerable group.

The hospital will be sending mobile testing units to local homeless resource centers and providing 14 days of medications when they are discharged from the hospital.

Intermountain will also allow them to stay at the hospital while they await test results and be provided meals.
