I know that this is kind of an oxymoron, but I found it interesting.

According to the Wine Enthusiast Utah's favorite beer is Modelo.

Is this surprising? I thought it would be Coors.

Colorado is  Coors and Oregon and Washington are Coors too.

From the article: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)

"Of the 11 biggest beer brands, Budweiser reigns supreme, earning the top spot in nine states, including Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina and Texas. Coming in a close second is Michelob, which is the favorite beer in seven states, including Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. It’s no coincidence that both Budweiser and Michelob are lagers, the most popular beer style in the world."

Interesting.

A lager is fermented differently than a pilsner I gues. A pilsner is more light and "hoppy" they say. An ale has more full flavor. A stout is roasted. And who cares about the rest.

I'm surprised that Wisconsin's favorite is Sam Adams because Wisconsin is home to a bunch of other beers like Miller.

Idaho's favorite is Guinness. I'd thought they'd be Coors too.

I was also a little surprised that the Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania were Michelob Ultra.

I thought that was a healthy beer. I would have guessed they were Bud or Miller.

What the heck do I know.

Did anything surprise you?

Do you agree with the study?

Are you drunk right now?
