Chapter 10 Experimenting 62
“I went to the human world through the portals when I was young,” answered Ansu. “I explored the ways of power. Hellion was searching out his prophecies and it made me curious. I discovered things.”
“They didn’t like the things you discovered?”

“It threatened their system, their power.” Ansu made a chopping motion. “They cut me off from that world. Made me a servant to keep an eye on me.”
Succubus walked over and looked at the scroll lying on the table. It was covered in tiny writing, every inch seemed covered with it. “Why aren’t they watching you now?” he asked.

Ansu chuckled. “One thing demons are not good at is remembering,” he said. “I am old. All those who knew why have forgotten or been cursed into the rock.” Then pointing at the scroll covered in writing he said, “There is power in remembering.”
The cave wasn’t like anything Succubus had encountered in the demon world. Most creations in the school were crude like the beds or the benches in the classroom. It was as if demons couldn’t wait to leave their prison and only did the bare minimum to decorate their world. They did not plan on staying there and it showed.
