See People Mooing Like A Cow And Much More At Upcoming Santa Clara Swiss Days
Once again the city of Santa Clara is getting ready to celebrate the Swiss families who settled the area in 1861. There are three days of events with one of the best parades in the area, entertainment, and most importantly, the cow mooing contest.
Kickoff to Festivities: Community Dinner and Opening Ceremonies
It all starts on September 24th with a community dinner followed by the Opening Ceremonies. Friday has events starting at 8 AM with a golf tournament at Sunbrook. Events go from 1 PM into the evening with entertainment and fun at the park.
The all important Cow Mooing Contest happens at 5:45 so start warming up your udders if you want to be a part of that. I find a winning moo has to start in the diaphragm. That's a professional tip.
Join the Fun: The Legendary Cow Mooing Contest
Saturday has a 5k race at 7 AM followed by the pancake breakfast. The parade starts at 9:30 then more fun at the park. This also includes a Yodeling Contest at noon. If you didn't win the cow mooing contest, it may have sounded more like yodeling, just saying.
