Lt. Governor Spencer Cox not apologizing for abortion comment

Lt. Governor Spencer Cox is not apologizing for making a comment that compared the practice of abortion to slavery.

Cox was appearing at the Eagle Forum convention Saturday when he said that future generations would look at legalized abortion the same way current society looks at slavery, calling it one of the greatest travesties in human history.

He was criticized for the comparison but refused to apologize for it.

In a statement yesterday, Cox said he has always stood up for the most vulnerable in society, and that includes the unborn.
