Republican State Senator drops bid for McAdams seat

One of the top challengers to unseat Democratic Congressman Ben McAdams has dropped his bid for Congress.

Republican State Senator Dan Hemmert says he is unable to juggle the campaign schedule along with his business obligations.

Campaign finance records show that Hemmert had raised more than 400-thousand dollars during his run, which is more than double of any of the five remaining Republican candidates.
