Salt Lake County forms coronavirus task force

Salt Lake County has its own task force to help handle the response to the coronavirus. 

County Mayor Jenny Wilson announced the formation of the task force yesterday.

Wilson said Salt Lake County already has protocols in place to operate during emergencies such as earthquakes and wildfires, and some of those could be adapted for the coronavirus. 

Some county employees have been conducting exercises to see what positions could work from home should the need arise.

Wilson said Salt Lake County is working with others to help manage and control the spread of the virus.
