(St. George, UT) -- U.S. Senator Mike Lee says downwinders will have another two years to apply for compensation through the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act. It was to expire in July but has been extended as he continues to try to get a more comprehensive Downwinders Act passed. That bill would add more people to the eligibility list for federal money if they have had radiogenic cancers and were exposed to radiation from nuclear tests.
