Susan Powell’s parents lawsuit begins

The trial over a civil lawsuit filed by Susan Powell's parents against the state of Washington has begun.

Back in 2012, the state Department of Social and Health Services brought seven-year-old Charlie and five-year-old Braden to visit their father, Josh Powell, at his home for a supervised visit.

Josh then locked the social worker out, killed the boys with a hatchet and then blew up his house, killing himself.

Judy and Charles Cox accuse DSHS of negligence for failing to protect their grandsons.
