Teen accused of murdering his family appointed new attorney
A judge overseeing the case of a Grantsville teen accused of killing four members of his own family has appointed a second defense attorney.
Rudy Bautista joins Richard Van Wagoner on the team representing 16-year-old Colin Jeffery Haynie.
The judge made the move because Bautista is on a list of attorneys approved by the state board that coordinates public defenders in Utah, while Van Wagoner is not.
Haynie is accused of killing his mother, two sisters and wounding his father in the family's home on January 17th.
