>>Officials Monitoring New Wildfire In Iron County

(Iron County, UT)  --  Fire officials in southwestern Utah say a human-caused wildfire has now burned more than 150-acres in an area near the Antelope Mountains.  The Antelope Fire was first reported yesterday about 25 miles west of Cedar City.  No structures are threatened, and aerial and ground resources are being used to try to control the fire.  Investigators believe the fire was caused by a spark from a vehicle exhaust.

>>Three University Of Utah Gymnasts Make US Team For Olympics

(St. Louis, MI)  --  Three University of Utah gymnasts are heading to the Tokyo Olympics. Three members of the Utah Red Rocks team finished in the top seven of yesterday's Olympic Trials. U of U alumni MyKayla Skinner qualified to compete in an individual sport, while incoming freshman Grace McCallum will join the four-person Olympic team. Another incoming freshman, Kara Eaker, qualified as an alternate.

>>FBI Investigating Possible Attempted Hijacking Of Plane Heading To SLC

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  The FBI is investigating a possible attempted hijacking of a plane last Friday that was heading from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. Officials say that day, the United Express flight was preparing to take off to SLC when the suspect allegedly attempted to open the cockpit door several times. After failing to open the door, the man then opened a service door and jumped off the plane. The suspect was then arrested on the runway. No other details were released on the suspect as the investigation is ongoing.

>>Salt Lake City Apartment Building Fire

(Salt Lake City, UT)  --  All the residents of an apartment building in Salt Lake City are accounted for after flames broke out early this morning.   Authorities say several people were rescued from balconies of the building at 400 South.  Some residents and firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.  The cause of the five-alarm fire is under investigation.

>>Former SLC School Board Member Under Indictment

(Salt Lake City, UT)  --  A former member of the Salt Lake City School Board is under federal indictment on child pornography charges.  Joél-Léhi Organista resigned earlier this month after being charged by the state for child porn.  As of now he's facing four federal charges in addition to eleven felony state charges.

>>Romney Tells GOP To Move On From Trump

(Undated)  --   Utah Senator Mitt Romney is telling fellow Republicans they need to move on from former President Trump's 2020 election lies.  He also compares Trump's return to rally-style events to wrestling entertainment.  The former president held a rally in Ohio on Saturday.  In an interview yesterday with CNN, Romney called on Republicans to speak out saying the election is over and it was fair.

>>Motel Shooting Investigation In Midvale

(Midvale, UT)  --  A shooting in Midvale is under investigation.  Officers responding to shots fired at a Motel 6 on South Catalpa early yesterday morning found a man in his 20s with gunshot wounds.  Fox 13 reports police say the victim was in critical condition.  A suspect was taken into custody and the initial indication is the shooting was prompted by an argument.

>>SLC Seeks Public Input On Park Improvements

(Salt Lake City, UT)  --  Salt Lake City is seeking public input on how to improve its only downtown park.  A survey has been released asking a series of questions regarding Pioneer Park.  Specifically, planners want feedback on activities, possible design improvements and new features for the park going forward.
