UPDATE: Child killed in flash floods near Goblin Valley State Park, her 3 year-old sister is missing

Officials in Emery County announced that the person killed in Monday’s flash flood was a 7-year-old girl. Her 3-year-old sister is missing as well.

“A piece of clothing believed to belong to the missing 3-year-old was found last night approximately 7 miles down a wash from the staging area,” police said.

Officials say there are 67 people searching for the missing girl Tuesday morning.
