Republican Congressman Chris Stewart questioned the U.S. Army officer who listened in on President Trump's phone call with the president of Ukraine.

During today's impeachment hearing, Stewart pushed back against Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman's belief that Trump's request for Ukraine to investigate political rivals was a demand.

Stewart exclaimed that Vindman's understanding of that context came as a man who has served in the military, where favors and demands from superior officers are interpreted as the same thing.

The Congressman then defended the phone call, saying neither president has served in the military and both men distinguished an order from a favor.
