Utah man to plead guilty to killing wife on cruise

A Utah man will plead guilty to charges that he beat his wife to death on a cruise to Alaska after she asked him for a divorce.

Kenneth Manzanares of St. George has reached a deal with prosecutors and will change his plea during a hearing on Friday.

Manzanares and his wife Kristy were on an Alaskan cruise in 2017 and the signed plea agreement shows that he admits to fighting with and hitting his wife on the night she died.

Manzanares will plead guilty to second-degree murder and could face a sentence of up to life in prison.
