The number of confirmed cases of a vaping-related illness in Utah has risen to 47.

Officials for the Utah Department of Health say doctors have diagnosed five more cases since last week, and 22 other suspected cases are under investigation.

Nationwide, there have been more than five-hundred cases of the illness, with at least seven deaths.

The CDC is still unsure what exactly is causing the illness, and have only been able to tie it to e-cigarettes and other vaping devices.
