Washington County planning to reopen businesses May 1st

Washington County officials are planning to reopen businesses in the region starting May 1st.

Southwest Utah health department director, David Blodgett, says the region has reached the next phase of the pandemic response as the low case totals support a reopening.

Specific guidelines will be released later this week as restaurants will likely be reinstating their dining rooms and lifting business restrictions.

Blodgett emphasized that people should continue to maintain social distance.
