(Zion National Park, UT) -- Officials at Zion National Park say the Angels Landing Trail will reopen today following repairs to the chained portion of the popular, but treacherous, portion of the trail. Staff at the park have been working on repairs since Sunday to reattach a rock anchor that supports the trail chain. The chain sections along the trail protect hikers who hang onto the chain to keep from falling. Park officials say at least 13 people have died while hiking the trail over the last 22 years.
