Washington City - Around 3pm yesterday Augustus J Cole, of Washington Utah who is facing felony warrants led Washington City police on a foot pursuit before barricading himself in an apartment, armed with a rifle.  Police and a SWAT team surrounded the apartment at the Red Rock at Sienna Hills in Washington City. The residents of those apartments were evacuated as the standoff continued.  Officers used drones to see what the man was doing in the apartment, and eventually sent in a robot as well as a cell phone to try to communicate with the suspect. They used gas to try to remove the man, and at one point he was shot in the torso but continued to stay in the apartment. Around midnight the man finally surrendered to police.  His identity is currently unknown to the public and is facing several charges.

Drug – Possess schedule 1,2, Analog

Weapon – category 1 person – firearm

Protective order violation – 2nd offense

Warrant – Cash only

Washington City - The Washington City police issued a Shelter in Place alert tonight, March 16 in the area of the Red Rock at Sienna Hills Apartments located at 20 N Red Trail Ln, Washington.  Please avoid the area! This is an active and dynamic scene.

The police, and SWAT are on the scene and a drone is being used to see where the suspect is in the home.  A phone has been dropped into the home in an attempt to contact the suspect.  A Warning was issued over the PA for the suspect to surrender.  Gas has been shot into different parts of the home as well.
