UPDATE: Officials recover body of missing man at Gunlock State Park
Officials located the body of a Logan, Utah man who went missing Friday afternoon at Gunlock State Park after jumping from a waterfall.
Police say 26-year-old Brandon Gary Johnson disappeared after he jumped from the top of a waterfall and had failed to resurface.
Investigators at the scene state Johnson died from the impact, but the incident remains under investigation. Gunlock State Park is approximately 20 miles northwest of St. George.
Johnson is from Logan, but spent the last four months working as a foreman in Washington County.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office, Washington County Search and Rescue as well as the Utah State Parks Rangers and all assisted in the search.
Multiple agencies responded to Gunlock State Park Friday to search for a possible drowning victim.
Utah State Park officials said a man in his 30s had been jumping from the top the waterfalls into the water Friday afternoon.
At one point after jumping, the man failed to resurface from the water and witnesses called for help.
Utah State Park rangers, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Search and Rescue and Bureau of Land Management law enforcement all responded to the scene to help with the search.
