Two Dozen Arrested for DUI over St. Patrick's Day Weekend

The Utah Highway Patrol says nearly two-dozen drivers are facing DUI charges after being caught during enhanced enforcement on St. Patrick's Day weekend.  The UHP started the DUI push Saturday, arresting 22 people statewide.  Updated totals for the entire weekend are expected later today.

13 Year Old Boy Killed in Snow Canyon State Park

A 13-year-old Iowa boy is dead after a fall at Snow Canyon State Park.  Lt. Regan Wilson of Utah State Parks said the boy was free climbing yesterday afternoon in the Pioneer Names area when he fell.  Wilson said the boy was climbing alone and was not wearing a helmet or using any other type of climbing gear.  Park officials do not recommend climbing alone, especially when the person climbing has little or no experience with the area.

Public Imput Requested in Proposed Washington City Interchange

Washington City residents will have the opportunity Tuesday to review the draft environmental study connected to a road project that could place a highway interchange in the middle of the downtown area. The open house for the Milepost 11 Project will be held 5-7 p.m. at the Washington City Community Center, 350 Community Center Drive. A series of alternatives have been proposed for the area, including a new interchange either at Main Street or 300 East

Search for Missing Girl Suspended

The Navajo Police Department says it's temporarily calling off the search for a four-year-old girl who went missing Thursday.  Authorities began the search for Anndine Jones that day, and teams tried for three days to find her.  Main efforts were focused on McElmo Creek, which flows into the San Juan River and is near the girl's home. Anyone with information is asked to call the Navajo Police Department.

Cabin Explosion in Wasatch County

Authorities say no one was at home when a cabin in the Timber Lakes subdivision of Wasatch County exploded Sunday afternoon.  Several people called in to report the explosion on Cottonwood Lane.  The roof had disintegrated by the time crews got there, and debris was spread 200 feet around the cabin. It's the second home explosion in the Timber Lakes area since February.

Troopers Arrest Man in High Speed Pursuit

Troopers arrested a 27-year-old man in Delta after, they say, he lead them on a high-speed chase through two counties. Utah Highway Patrol says Christian Harmond stole a 2016 Ford Explorer from a Tooele body shop then got into a hit and run around 6:50 am Saturday near Eureka on S.R. 36. Troopers caught up with the driver a short time after the hit and run and started the pursuit, but they called it off as they neared Delta. Troopers say the SUV took off from through residential areas before finally crashing into a ditch near 400 South and 700 East in Delta.

Utahn's Show Support for Muslim Neighbors

Utahns are showing their support for the Muslim neighbors following attacks on two New Zealand mosques.  About four-dozen people gathered outside the Al Sahaba mosque in Orem Friday, offering flowers and good wishes to those attending a prayer service.  Lt. Governor Spencer Cox was among those who came to show his support, saying Utah was founded by people facing religious persecution.  The event was organized by Utah County Commissioner Tanner Ainge through social media.  At least 50 people were killed and dozens more were hurt in the Friday attacks on the New Zealand mosques
