Lawmakers ask to consider paying John Swallow a settlement
Utah lawmakers are being asked to consider paying former Utah Attorney General John Swallow a settlement of one-point-five-million-dollars.
UtahPolicy.com reports that the state wants to settle all claims by Swallow by paying the former AG's legal fees.
Swallow sued the state for his legal costs in 2018 after being acquitted of corruption charges.
Lawmakers will consider the proposal during their special session next week.
