The man accused of killing a West Jordan couple in their home last month made his first court appearance this morning. 

Albert Enoch Johnson faces nine charges in connections with the deaths of Tony and Katherine Butterfield. 

Prosecutors say Johnson killed the couple during an armed robbery where he only managed to steal 20-dollars in cash and two cell phones. 

The suspect's next court hearing is scheduled for May 29th.
