St. George Mayor challenging residents to wear face masks and them share picture of social media

St. George Mayor Jon Pike is challenging residents to wear face masks and share a picture of them wearing it on social media as COVID-19 cases surged in the region over the weekend.

Pike says he would like for people to take a selfie with their masks on to have a little bit of fun and show who has the best masks by posting to social media with the hashtag maskupSTG.

This challenge comes as Washington County went from 274 cases to 365 in one week and the state saw its largest surge of the new cases last Friday with 343.
