St. George Mayor Jon Pike is indicating that Washington County's request to move from orange to the yellow phase of the reopening process may be approved.

Pike says the region could receive the low-risk designation as soon as tonight.

Acting Executive Director for the department of health, Major General Jeff Burton, says Washington County looks solid and could qualify for the designation, but it's ultimately up to Governor Gary Herbert.

Pike is hopeful, but nothing is confirmed as leaders are meeting this morning to decide.
