U of U implementing new safety measures
The University of Utah is spending big to implement new safety measures ahead of the upcoming school year.
U. officials will invest nearly one-million dollars to add a Threat Assessment Team, cluster evening classes on campus and hire a senior-level chief safety officer.
The changes are just some of the recommendations from the campus safety task force that convened following the murder of Lauren McCluskey.
The student-athlete was murdered by her former boyfriend on campus last October.
