Scientists at the University of Utah will get the chance to study how environmental conditions affect the spread of the coronavirus.

The Department of Physics and Astronomy has received a grant that will allow researchers to perform deeper research on genes within the virus.

Scientists will then evaluate how it reacts to changing temperatures and varying humidity levels.

The findings could help inform governments how to create new policies to account for the coronavirus going forward.
